Coupling

Couplings are a mechanism for connecting two-axis power transmission and deliver safety moments.
There are various purposes upon installing a coupling in a machine, and the most common purpose is listed as follows:
●Power or torque transmission.
●Shafts (such as motors and other machinery) of connecting that connect two individually manufactured rotary machines can be changed or uninstalled in case of repair.
●Increases the pliability of the machine, permitting shaft with a small deviation.
●Reduces the impact load delivering on shaft while upon transmission.
●Protects the transmission shaft from over torque.
●Adjusts or improves the vibration characteristics of the rotating element.

 

●General coupling can be divided into "flexible" and "rigid" coupling as two categories.
●Once it is difficult in arranging power transmission and two shafts straightway, or it its very simple to install the two shafts, flexible coupling shall be used. It is widely applied in the market due to its features of mitigation of impact, parallel absorption parallel, deflection angle, axial misalignment, improvement of misalignment and improvement of traditional systematic transmission characteristic.
●The rigid coupling is an element which cannot cause eccentric and deflection angle to connect the two shafts into one. Thus, the requirement toward using of concentricity is rigid and the user must arrange the rotation of motor and rotation shafts straightway. That is to say, the shaft shall be corrected strictly, otherwise the motor will shake while running. As time passes, it not only rotation shaft will break owing to the mechanical fatigue, but also bearing will be wear and heat due to partial bias.The advantage of rigid couplings is the to convey transmission torque indeed.

(4) The maximum torque of the coupling is 2 times the allowable torque, and the torque produced during continuous operation of the product you select shall not exceed the allowable torque.
